Blaze sat on one of the swings, staring blankly at the teeter-totter. His hand was unconsiously twirling his crystal in his right hand. He couldn't stop thinking about her, the way she smiles, her determination. He wondered why she didn't believe him when he told her he was a vampire.

Haylee walked slowly to the swings, her hands in her pockets and her down. Stupid vampires. Was all that was going through her head. Haylee had been fine, going on in life, thinking she was as safe as she could be. Now, at any movement, her eyes would look around. At one, small movement, she caught that one vampire, Blaze, swinging. Is he a physcic? Knowing where I'm going to go?

Blaze shut his eyes and shook his head, trying to get the thoughts out of his head. When he opened them, he saw Haylee looking at him like he was crazy. He laughed and shook his head again.

Haylee tilted her head and stepped closer. “What’s so funny?” she questioned, lifting her head to look at him.

Blaze blinked a few times. She's really here? he asked himself in his head. "Nothing," he whispered, his expression serious.

"Well I think I have a right to know, because I believe you were laughing at me."

"I wasn't laughing at you," he insisted. "I was laughing at myself." He crossed his arms and continued swinging slowly.

"I didn't see you do anything. What were you thinking?" She walked to the swings and sat on the one next to his."

"You'd think it's stupid that I was thinking of that." He sighed, uncrossing his arms. "You'd probably laugh at me, or run away."

"You should know that I don't run away from much anymore." she said, pushing the swing a little bit with her feet.

"Just forget I said anything, or did anything. It doesn't matter."

"Perhaps to you it doesn't, but I'm curious now. C'mon." she said with a smile. "I'm sure it wasn't that bad."

"You'll think differently when I tell you, if you still want to know." He twirled his necklace again.

"Yes, because my mind can just think so much more differently after I find out my little vampire game isn't so much a game, but I've been living among them for my whole life."

"Fine," he hissed through his teeth. "Girls always get their way," he muttered, standing up. "I was thinking about you, okay? I haven't been able to stop thinking about you ever since we met, I can't get you out of my head. I keep thinking I'm going insane, but I can't stop thinking about you, Haylee. That's why I was laughing, I thought I was imagining you being here."
