Gabbie sat on a slab of broken concrete, her flute up to her mouth. She started to play when she was sure the coast was clear. Music notes filled the air, and it almost sounded as if this music was from a dream, but of course, it wasn't.

Gray stumbled in to an empty lot, with bruises and cuts all over himself. He really felt like taking a nap, but how would that happen if he was in a parking lot? He brushed some leaves and dirt off his pants, finally noticing the beautiful melody floating in the air. It was melodic, and dreamlike, as if he was in a deep wonderful sleep.

Gabbie cut short when she heard someone stumbled closer. She waited to see if this presence would make another noise, but she didn't hear one. It's the wind. she told herself and started playing again, softer this time.

The sound had stopped, bringing Gray back to the real world, the horrible world that took everything precious from him. Soon as it stopped, it came back again. It took his breath away, he hadn't looked for what it came from, but just the sound was fantastic. He kneeled there, absorbing the music around him, living today as if it was the last day he would live.

Gabbie continued playing, not even pausing as the sun sank lower. She played for a while but missed a note. She took it down and set it in her lap. She looked at her fingers and curled them into fists. She growled but she put her head in her hands.

Gray sat there amazed at what he had heard the hours he was there. "Lovely." The word escaped his lips, startling the musician. He had just realized the player was a petite girl with honey brown hair. It might've been because of the song, but this girl was beautiful in so many ways. Even prettier than Nora!

Gabbie jumped a tthe voice. "I knew someone was there." she murmured, trying to maintain as much calm as possible. "How long were you listening?" Gabbie's voice was much like her instrument, thick sweet, and melodic.

Gray found no words to answer, he just stared at her as if she was a goddess. Which she was, in his eyes. He actually looked at her face, and realized what was on it. She looked mad. "Oh!" He exclaimed, after processing what she had said. "S--Sorry." He was still in a daze, and said the words that came to mind. "You're..So...Pretty."

Gabbie felt her face grew warm and she turned away. She picked up her flute again an played. "Thank you." the music sang. "But it's probably just the daze of the music. A boy like you must have someone waiting for them."

Gray blinked hard, trying to understand what she was saying. Was her flute magical? Even without the music, she had mesmerized him with her looks and words. He slowly got up, staring at her in wonderment. "No. No, it isn't the flute, it's you." He felt a slight blush on his face. He knew what he had to do and say.

Gabbie, as herself, laughed. "You're such a silly boy." she murmured quietly and spoke into the flute. "It is my flute speaking for me. This flute helps me relax."

"You don't need that to relax." Gray told her, he didn't know what he was doing, but his body did. He grabbed it out of her hands and put his hand under his chin. Then, it happened. He kissed her.

Gabbie gasped and hit him over the head with her flute. She pulled away and blushed. "What are you doing?" she asked Gabbie.

The flute was a heavy and strong as two whole bricks! What was it made of? Gray's head was swollen, and was slowly turning into a large bump. "Owww!" He exclaimed, he was knocked away a couple of feet. He seriously didn't know what he had done. Something was wrong with him. "I don't know." He measly replied, recovering from the attack.

"You don't know why you just kissed me like that?" Gabbie growled angrily. "How about I beat it out of you?"
