Gray was extremely surprised. Who was this girl? Before she was sweet and quiet, now she's mad and crazy. Gray chuckled, and watched the girl's shocked face. He helped himself up and blocked her next attack. "Now I know why I did it." He paused, to see her reaction. She looked the same. "Because. I. Like. You."

Gabbie's face fell from an angry scowl to no expression at all. "You barley know me, and you're saying you like me?" Gabbie couldn't help but laugh. "Are you sure that you didn't hit you're head on the way here?"

"I did, but I don't need to know who you are." Gray said, his head more clear. "I believe we are destined to be together."
(I think I'll him for a longer time. *evil grin*))

"And how exactly to you know that?" Gabbie replied, crossing her arms, wearily. "You don't have some weird super power, do you?"

"If you call instinct is a power." Gray replied, once again, he didn't know what he was saying. "Why don't we start over? I'm Gray. Who is the princess?"

Gabbie shook her head and felt her face grow warm again. "If you call a girl in a brown jacket a princess, my name's Gabrielle, but call me Gabbie."

"I don't care what you wear." Gray said, remembering her personality. "It's you that I care about. You're interesting."

Gabbie glanced down at her arm and looked at him. "We've known each other for four minutes, Gray. In one more minutes it'll be our five minute anniversary!" Gabbie said, letting the sarcasm she so rarely used sink into her words. "Besides, I've heard you been known as a playboy. How am I supposed to know I'm just not your newest phase.'

"If you exclude the hours that I listened to you playing, you could call it four minutes." Gray replied, hit by her sarcasm. Her last comment stung him. He forgot about his past the whole day. "Why would I kiss you then? Girls kiss me. You are the first girl I kissed, not the other way around. I like you, I might even be infatuated with you. I dunno, but I just know I have to be serious with this relationship. Heck, I'm not sure if you wanna call it a relationship."

"I'm sure that's what all guys like you say. Yeah, this relationship is different! I won't dump you when someone who's prettier comes along! How many times have you used that one?" Gabbie growled coldly.

Gray didn't know what to say. This girl had a tough past; that was certainly clear. "Then I'll show you. I'll stay with you forever. I'll protect you, and if I leave you, you can kill me. I'll make you happy." He finally said, he looked very serious. He kissed her on her forehead. "I'll see you again tomorrow, and I'll stay here until you come." He hugged her and let go. "You should leave, it's already dark." There were stars in the sky and it was black. The moon peered through some clouds, Gray's eyes reflecting the light.

Gabbie scowled and glared at Gray. "I'm not coming back. I have to change positions often. And besides, no one, espically you, can tell me when I should leave."

"Well, then, I'll stay until you leave. You'll get cold when the temperature drops." Gray told her, worried. "And if you play somewhere else, I'll come and find you."

"Do I need to get a bodyguard? I know where I can find some...." Gabbie said, twisting her flute in her hand. "Besides, I don't need you to watch me. I already have someone else looking out for me, and I don't need you too."
