"Most likely. Maybe she wanted to scare you, taking you through this route." Aza smiled at the genius of the un-named person. Scare her own friend? They'd get along well.
Aza kept walking, taking many turns. The streets became narrower and more dimly lit with every turn she took. After crossing a cracked road with a sheen of water on it and turning into a run down brick building, they ran smack into an alley, with a dead end.

Kayla had to quicken her steps to keep up. When they reached the dead end, she stopped dead in her tracks. "We went the wrong way." she commented. "And now I'm even more lost."

Aza was standing in front of the girl, stock still, and her hairfallng straight down her back, glowing a dull orange. "We didn't go the wrong way." she spoke in a little more than a whisper, a smile on her lips. "Remember what I told you about the Golden Demon?" she asked, turning her head slightly to look at her from the corner of her eye.

Kayla instantly became uncomfortable. She backed up as much as she good, a small whimper rising in her throat. "I don't think I want to remember."

"She's a terrible woman, bloodthirsty, and beautiful if I do say so myself" chuckled Aza. "Do you remember my name?" No response came from Kayla, who watched with wide frightened eyes. "My name's Aza. Do you want to know the name of the Golden Demon?" Again, no response. Walking towards her, Aza's bootsteps resounded in the dark alley. She leaned over, so that her mouth was above Kayla's ear, and whispered, "Her name is Aza Aliah..."

Kayla was unable to move for she was too frightened. "It just has to be a coincidence, right? Aza could be a common name." she finally managed to say, very quietly.

"Common? On the contrary, Aza'zel is a very uncommon. One given to demons." She stalked closer to the girl. "You're not scared are you?" Aza's voice carried a sick imitation of sympathy, "Didn't I tell you not to be scared?"

Kayla pressed herself flat against the wall, a low whimper arising in her throat. "N-no! I'm not- I mean, I am extre- extremely frightened." she whispered, closing her eyes to avoid Aza's gaze.

"But Child," she caressed one cheek, the girl's eye's opened staring at the finger on her cheek with undisguised terror, Aza smiled, a sick, gleeful smile. "Didn't I tell you not to be scared?"
A bloodcurdling scream echoed through the block. All who heard it, ignored it. Another victim had been taken by the Golden Demon. If they kept their heads low and paid deference, then they might survive.
In the alley, a filthy street crevice illuminated by harsh yellow city lights, a young woman and a lone girl were. the woman, stood above the girl, holding something one would see evryday, an arm. The arm didn't belong disattached from the body. Simply her holding it, watching it with fascination, was a grotesque, sickening sight. "What beautiful hands you have," marveled Aza, touching the palm with one fingertip, "so soft too." With the expression of a girl recieving a new teddy bear, Aza pressed the palm to her face. Kayla, was on the ground. She had stopped screaming and had drifted into a shocked state. Her eyes were glazed over and she was curled into a fetal position, her right hand clutching the shoulder that bled freely and no longer had an arm attached to it.

The only thing Kayla could remember was falling to the ground. She was shaking so much, her body quivering from not only the blood loss, but the pain of losing an entire arm. Her tiny moo (mouth) was open, but no words came out after the first scream. For a while, it only opened and closed, but eventually, it managed to let out a sob of fear and pain. "P-please s-s-stop!" she cried. "I'm s-sorry! I won't b-be afr-fraid anymore, Aza! I promise!"

Kneeling before the girl, Aza watched her with her amber eyes. She held the arm and and tugged at the index finger. "You won't be afraid, huh?" crack The small white joint bone poked out from the bottom of the index finger. Aza had pulled the finger clean off. "But, you seem so terrified right now." she said with a pout, as if it were Kayla's fault. crack The middle finger was gone. "Why should I beleive you, when you're still so scared?" crack Ring finger. The Golden Demon froze for a second. Lowering her mouth to Kayal's ear, as if she were passing on a great secret, she whispered, "Would you like to know what happens when the pinky is gone?"

At each crack, Kayla winced away, her eyes closing. After a moment, tears fell from her eyes. "N-no, I don't know... B-but I don't really want to find out." she told her, hiccuping. Kayla dropped her head down, and silently prayed someone would come and save her. She knew it was silly for a girl her age to be praying for such a thing, but Kayla was beyond frightened, she knew it couldn't hurt.

Smiling such a happy grin, she put two delicate finger on the end of the pinky's joint, and the other hand held the arm steady. She applied slight pressure and- crack "Woops, it's gone. Now it seems like-" Aza's words were cut short, for from the entrance of the alley, a small black figure slammed into her with a force to rival her own. The stranger pulled back. It was a girl, young even by human standards, and garbed with a large oversized blue jacted that covered her hands. Her hair whipped around her face from the sudden blast, she was breathing heavily and her eyes were wide with fear and disbelief, as if she could entirely comrehend what she had just done.
"Hurry!" she dashed to the girl. Being careful to avoid her wound, she scooped her up. "oh, she's getting up!" Shizuko knew that Aza hated losing her prey. Once the girl was in her arms, Shizuko began to run with as much energy and speed as she could spare. They had to get away, but they also had to maintain that speed, else she would wait until she tired and slowed down.
Grabbing the edges of the ruined trashbin, Aza hauled herself up into a sitting position. The force of Shizuko's body slammed had thrown them into a large blue trash container and had cracked the wall behind them. resting her elbows on her knees, and her chin on her hands, Aza smiled, "Why, I love playing tag!"
With a red gold blur as evidence, she was gone.

Kayla was shocked as a girl scooped her off the ground. So shocked, she managed to stop crying. She looked up with her large and curious eyes, studying her. "Please don't get yourself hurt, too." she whispered. It was the clearest Kayla had spoken in a while, and it even surprised her a bit. "I wouldn't be able to live with myself if someone was injured because of me."

"Don't talk!" hissed Shizuko through her shortening breath. Crap, she wouldn't live with herself if this girl died because she simply wasn't fast enough! "I'm fast," she gasped, "I can outrun her." The thing she didn't tell her, was that she ahd never tried to ourun someone, while carrying a person twice as large as her.
