Standing on the gray cristalline sand of Opal Beach while gray clouds hung overhead and a cool breeze tugged at her made Rain feel as if she could break away from everything that bound her and float endlessly on that cool air.
She and James had sneaked away, just for a day. Now, Rain loved the forest, but she needed to see the ocean, and be alone with James. She just needed a breather from the hectic life in Emerald Valley

James looked out at the waves glad for the peace that the forest couldnt always offer and glad to be allone with Rain. The first time sine she got back he had the pleasure to be with her alone. He looked away the waves to her he found himself watching her thinking of those long days when she had been 'dead.' "You glad to get away?" he asked.

Rain felt her chest brim over with warmth as she saw the gentle conture of James face, the way his soft brown hair slid down his neck and fell with beautiful coincidence perfectly over his brow. Sliding her hands into his she pressed herself against him, eager to feel his warmth.
"Yeah, although I feel bad. I shouldn't really be taking a day off, there's so many things going on... was this a good idea?" she asked him, uncertainty written across her face.

James but a ar around her glad to have her close again. He reached up and stroked her cheek "If anyone needs it, its you Rain" he said "Ulee and jared.....Well Ulee will take care of the coven" he said "one day is all they did good while you were...." pain flashed through his eyes but he hide it or tryed "...gone they can take care of themseleves one day."

While she didn't see that flash of emotion pass through his eyes, she felt it through his body. His muscles tensed suddenly. Turning to look into his eyes, Rains own reflected sadness and regret,
"I'm sorry. I wanted to let you guys know somehow. But, Eiji wouldn't let me."
((Lol should he be jealous of Eiji? Even though he sees Rain as a lil sis xD))

"I know I just dont even know this E...or what his name is'' he said seeing the saddness in her own eyes "and why does he get to decied who you see?" James was starting to dislike Eiji not only did he take Rain away from them but let them think she was dead.

She laughed and gently caressed his face,
"It's not like that. Eiji really cares about me, but not like that. I'm his heir and I was hiding in his home. No one can know about that place, it's very sacred. After a while I realized he had been right." She leaned in close, her lips hovering over his, "You know you're the only guy on my mind." with a small smile, she kissed him

James relaxed knowing he was acting jealous he had just been without her so long and ignoring his judgement. He put his arms around her kissing her back. Glad to be able to hold her again.

Pulling back, Rain turned to observe the gray beauty of the beach.
"I know a lot of people hate the rain because it turns everything gloomy, but I love it. It cleans and purifies the dirty world. It sings people to sleep and brings life to the dead." she laughed softly, her cool hand squeezing James warm one. "Maybe I'm just saying that cuz I'm named after it." A Sudden gust of wind tore her hair out of it's lose ponytail, "Ah crap, that was my last one. Come on!" pulling on her boyfriend's arm she headed in the direction of a small building. "Sally says she knows the owner, should be good eh?" with a laugh that seemed to be snatched away by the greedy wind Rain ran as best as she could against the wind and the sand.

James smiled and ran after her the wind and sand making it diffcult he held onto her her hand it cool in his hand. He headed for the small looking building and went under a small porch getting out of the rain. He pulled Rain under with him "and why are we here?" he asked.

"Well," she pulled a strand of blue hair mixed with silver strands out of her face, "Sally told us she had a younger sister that lived near the beach. She said if we needed anything we should talk to her. I just wanted to meet her and maybe grab a bite to eat." She ran her hand through her hair with difficulty, "Maybe she can help me with my hair, I need a scrunchy."

"It's a restaurant and boat rental, I'm sure she is" laughed Rain. Pushing open the door, she entered the inside portion of the restauran. A tall, thin, tanned, beautiful woman was at the counter reading a magazine.
"Hey there!" seeing them come in, she closed her magazine. There were only about 5 other people in the small restaurant, it wasn't very large. "I don't get many customers when the sea turns like this," she spoke with a slight southern accent, and in almost every way she was different from Sally's motherly personality, but Rain caught the similarity in the warm gaze of her brown eyes which were the exact same caramel shade as Sallys. "What can I do for yous two?"
"Oh, we came in just for a bite to eat." said Rain, smiling back shyly.
"Why certainly," Sandra took out two menus and set them in front of them as they sat down on the bar. "I haven't seen yous around here, and trust me," she laughed tossing back her dyed braided hair, "I know every surfer, swimmer, sculpted model, and too-tight bikini girls that have set foot on this beach."
Laughing, Rain flipped open the menu, but kept her gaze on Sandra,
"My name's Rain, and he's my boyfriend James."
"Oooh... pity. You're cute." winked Sandra.
"Sally told us we should meet you. We're close with her."

"Oh" James said having not realized it in the stormy weather he followed her inside and sat down beside Rain at the Bar. "Yeah its nice to finally meet her sister" James said he blushed alittle when she winked he had a few girls flirt with him but ignored them usually speacily when he found Rain.

"It's such a pity" sighed Sandra gazing at James, batting her eyelashes, "I don't see many guys as cute as this one. Aw, you sure you two are going out?"
Rain grabbed Sandra's head and pushed her back behind the bar,
"Back off sistah."
